Temporary email or an email alias?
Choose a short-lived inbox for one-time tasks, or a revocable alias for relationships you want to keep.
Temporary email is a short-lived destination
A disposable inbox receives mail directly for a limited time. It does not need to forward anything to your permanent address. When it expires, access and delivery stop.
This fits a one-time QA scenario or a brief evaluation. It is a poor fit for any account that might send a password reset later.
An alias can stay with you
An alias typically forwards messages to an existing mailbox. You can give each service a different address and revoke one alias if it starts receiving unwanted mail.
Alias providers vary in forwarding rules, reply support, price, and retention. Review those details before trusting one with important correspondence.
Choose around future access
Need the next verification message only? A temporary address can work where the other service permits it. Need receipts, long-term notices, or recovery? Use an alias or your permanent account.
Both approaches can reduce exposure of your main address. Neither removes the need for unique passwords, account security, and careful handling of verification codes.
