Temporary email not receiving messages? What to check
Troubleshoot an empty disposable inbox: active addresses, expiration, sender delays, unsupported attachments and connection errors.
Check the address and its deadline first
Copy the address from your active Hushymaily inbox rather than retyping it. A name that merely resembles a valid address is not enough: the service must allocate it first. Check the displayed timer before asking a sender to retry.
Addresses ending in .test are local-development addresses and cannot receive public SMTP email. Production addresses use the configured receiving domain. An expired or deleted inbox cannot be restored.
Refresh once and check the connection state
The active web inbox checks periodically while visible. Background tabs and failed connections use slower retries. Use Refresh inbox and check the status message to distinguish an empty inbox from a connection failure.
Closing a browser session can remove its local access key. The iPhone client and the web browser do not silently share inboxes. Confirm that you are looking at the same active address in the same workspace.
Check what the sender actually accepted
Some services reject disposable email addresses or postpone sending. Hushymaily cannot override their rules or guarantee a delivery time. If the sender says the address is unsupported, use a suitable permanent address instead.
An email can also be rejected because it exceeds 1 MiB, has unsupported or oversized attachments, reaches a full inbox, or arrives after expiration. The sender may receive a rejection; inspect that result when testing your own email system.
Report a reproducible delivery problem safely
For your own application, record when the message was sent, the intended recipient and the delivery result from your email provider. If the inbox expires, create a new address before trying again.
Use the contact form with relevant timestamps and a brief description. Do not send access keys, verification codes or private message contents. A support report does not restore expired mail.
