GETTING STARTED

A temporary inbox, in three simple steps

Create an address, receive your email, and leave the clutter behind. Here is how Hushymaily works.

1. Start with a fresh address

Open Hushymaily to request a random address. There is no account to create. In production, a security check may be required to protect the service from automated abuse.

Your browser receives a secret access token. Only a hash of that token is stored by the service. The email address alone cannot unlock the inbox. Keep your browser session and device secure.

2. Receive what you need

Copy the address into a legitimate signup or email test. When a message arrives at an active address, our email worker parses it, indexes the message, and stores its content privately. Your open inbox checks for messages every 15 seconds, with slower retries after connection failures.

Messages open in plain text by default. Optional HTML is sanitized and placed in a restricted sandbox. Remote images, scripts, forms, and tracking pixels are blocked. Clearly labeled verification codes can be copied locally.

3. Let it expire, or delete it yourself

An inbox lasts 10 minutes. Extend it in 10-minute steps, up to one hour from creation. The server enforces the deadline even if your browser clock changes.

At expiration, access stops immediately. A scheduled cleanup removes stored messages and attachments. You can permanently delete messages or the whole inbox earlier. There is no recovery after deletion or expiration.

A few practical limits

Hushymaily is receive-only. It does not send email or offer public SMTP access. Messages are limited to 1 MiB, inboxes to 50 messages, and attachments to five supported files of at most 256 KiB each.

Delivery depends on the sender, DNS, and routing infrastructure. Some services reject disposable email addresses. Hushymaily does not bypass those restrictions.
